Do I need signage for doorbell camera?

I’ve just bought a doorbell camera and was wondering if I need to display a sign. The camera won’t record all the time, only if someone comes to the door. However, it will inevitably record people, houses and cars in the background.

So I need a sign?

I've got one for CCTV. I don't see the harm in one for a ring door bell if you want to. Especially if you get a nurotic neighbour who thinks you're spying on them.

If it's a Ring camera, there's usually loads of stickers in the box in different languages. I've put my sticker in my front window. Says something like Protected by Ring Security.

ico.org.uk/your-data-matters/domestic-cctv-systems-guidance-for-people-using-cctv/ It depends whether your camera captures people outside of your own property boundary - this link is useful.
