We moved out a month ago and house has been left empty, we only moved half a mile a way so have been checking on a daily basis.
We left heating on timer to come on twice a day just to take edge off the cold and to "keep the system running". On Saturday we found the heating control panel was blank and realised the electrics had tripped. Reset the consumer unit and boiler fired up. But same thing has happened when we checked this morning.
Heating engineer is coming to take a look tomorrow. Could it be a simple fix or do I need to be prepared to fork out for a new boiler?
It's a baxi boiler, about 15 years old. Never given us an ounce of trouble till now
