Tell me about Swindon/surrounding villages

We are looking to move this sort of way due to being priced out of our area, can anyone recommend nice villages near to Swindon?
Ideally with a decent primary school nearby and (in normal times!) things to do with young children?

Avoid penhill, pinehurst, park north and park south.

Highworth, hannington, wroughton are quite nice.

Shrivenham, watchfield, blunsdon and royal Wooton basset are nice too

The area in between Oxford and Swindon has some really nice villages so I would look on that side
