Connection to mains water supply

Hi! I just bought a new fridge with a water dispenser that needs to be connected to the cold water supply. The installation people found that we had only one point that was connected by the washing machine. They unplugged the washing machine in order to connect the fridge (see pic).
How should I connect both the washing machine and the fridge? I think I should buy a "splitter" that can turn one plumbing connection point into two, but I'm not sure what this thing is called, and anything to pay attention to when buying, such as any size differences (diameters?). Would really appreciate it if anyone could help! Thanks!

One way would be to cut the pipe before the service valve. Put either a compression or push fit T on. Then a piece of pipe in both directions and maybe an elbow on each and a little more pipe, then a service valve on each to connect to both appliances.

Thanks a lot @Rulesdontapplytome ! Is this the kind of compression tee you mentioned?
