Completion on Friday - Lockdown - HELP!

We have exchanged contracts and due to complete on Friday. With the news of a lockdown we called our removals who are booked for Thursday and Friday and they said if a lockdown happens they will not be able to move us. Is this right? People I know moved during the last lockdown, is it down to each removal firm?

I am really panicking and stressed now that we may not be able to move and will be in breach of contract. Please help! Do we need to look for a new removals and try and get our deposit back?

House moves are still allowed in national lockdown - full guidance - I would still move at speed of light on thing if you can but for now it's OK Checkedcloth I've been so stressed last 24 hours about this. Still not out of the woods until its over but looking hopeful for immediate future at least:

I have just sat and sobbed in relief. If you knew the stress we were going through (not even related to house move) you would understand. Finally we get something going right for us.

We're hoping to complete very soon, already had s hold up due to a land registry issue. 1st lockdown scuppered our wedding plans so I was so worried lockdown 2 was going to scupper our house plans! We currently live in an apartment but are itching to move into our first home .We've had numerous problems here so it can't come quickly enough. I fully understand that feeling of things finally going right for you, wishing you all the best X

Oh god, you have had more than your fair share of problems as well!

I have had redundancy, a neighbour from hell that abuses us on a daily basis all through the first lockdown had parties all the time, making everywhere stink of weed and playing music 24/7 for over 76 hours once. She has now been evicted but we still want to leave. We have no garden and our toddler has struggled.

I moved in the first lockdown.

We have completed!! Hurrah. Packing everything up today and moving tomorrow :)

Congratulations @Bells3032 we currently have packers in getting ready for our move on Friday.

The day of our move, the house is in absolute chaos, the removals need to finish packing and then load the van. I really cannot wait to be out of here.
