Looking to move and seeking advice on where.
Don't really want an estate and schools are not an issue.
Is Freehold nice? We have seen a couple of houses but from the outside they look decidedly ordinary?

Hi, great area, 30mins to the lakes, 1 hour to Preston or Manchester. A bit low key if you are used to big cities has a very safe feel to it. And lots of semi rural villages on bus routes.

Don’t know an area called Freehold??

We lived on Freehold many years ago. Could you give more info on sort of house/area that you are looking for, where are you used to etc. But from what I know all older style 2/3 storey terrace, some have gardens. Easy access out to motorway. Not many facilities near, quite a walk into town. The area has sort of stayed the same from what I know I.e. mixed occupation/rental. Parking a bit tight.

I have a friend that lives at Hest Bank and loves it. She works in Lancaster. My son lived there for a year in a company flat from an old mill near the water. He liked it and the job but moved back because of the girlfriend.

Just thought if you are happy to be a bit further out then Grange over Sands always appeals to me. Lovely views.
