Southfields vs Wimbledon Park

Considering relocating to either of these. Need to be quite near tube for daughters commute to school. I used to live near Wimbledon Village but that's too expensive and not near (enough) to the underground. I want to be very near shops and buzziness, not stuck in a totally residential area (I'd be living in Parsons Green if I could afford it!) Budget for three bed £1m, but really just want to know the vibe of these areas.

We rented in Wimbledon Park in around 2014. We loved it - so close to the tube, walkable into Wimbledon, lovely farmers market at the weekend. We’d have stayed there if we could have afforded to buy there.
Southfields was similar but had a massive expat community when we were there - loads of South African, Kiwi and Aussie SAHMs whose husbands worked in the city. I did a pregnancy yoga class there when expecting my daughter and I think I was the only one who had to work!
Before that I lived in Parsons Green, so I totally get your love for PG!

Wimbledon Park is a great place to live. Excellent primary school (although need to live very close to get in), real community feel, safe, parks etc.
