Do you like or have doors like this? Trying to decide what sort of doors to choose for our extension and our builder recommended ones like this instead of white.

Following.

These are very popular atm so is probably why the builder is recommending.

We're going through planning and will have to make this decision soon.

My concerns on grey are on the inside. Our new room will be open plan but low 1980 ceilings. I'm worried that the grey will be too in your face and catch your eye, our current white patio door frames 'blur' out as you look through to the garden iykwim.

My husband is keen on grey though (all our other windows are white and won't be replaced with the extention)

Yes I have the same concerns.

These are the same doors inside and I think they look quite nice though, not too bold.

You don't have to have them grey on the inside.

I think it depends on your property.

My last two flats (early 2000 builds) have both had grey windows including patio doors.

Look fine & easy to accommodate into decor.

Se are having grey on outside but white on inside

Personally I think grey windows are on the way out. Unless you're having the slim aluminium on a detached house, go for white. In the photo, it looks like quite chunky upvc so definitely white.

We have them, although not with the additional panes of glass either side

I really like them - had them about 5 years. They feel far more up to date than white UPVC

We have black aluminium. I think it is a good option as it looks more contemporary than white but I feel it is a bit more classic than grey and will not date as much.

Our extension windows are black on the inside and the existing house is white on the inside. I actually feel the black frames are less noticeable than the white and tend to disappear into the view more. The white frames still have black gaskets anyway which makes them look more prominant with the contrast in colours.

We should have had a pair of origin ob49 ( slim )grey aluminium french doors fitted on Tuesday, but they sent the wrong cill , so got to wait 🙄
They are grey all over ( edges too ) and we have them open a lot in the summer, Upvc ones would have been white down the edges and didn’t really want that. They were more than we wanteD to pay but they do look nice .

I do like black also
