just starting to think about redesigning our bathroom (moving things around as at the moment space isn’t maximised!)
Just starting out looking so wondered if anyone could share pics/ prices/good recommendations for companys!
I’ll also be doing a lot of pinterest but i normally love these threads as they’re real life!!

I went to a bathroom designer on the recommendation of my builder. After getting a few options on layouts he costed it and I nearly choked. The layouts were nothing we hadn't considered (although nice to see in 3D) so I bought the suites off Victorian Plumbing (en-suite, main bathroom plus a WC room); always see if you can get a trade account before ordering.
For comparison it was about 11k from the bathroom designer (suuply only) and about 3.5k from victorian plumbing. The only thing I didn't like was the not being able to see things but buy the higher end stuff and you should be fine. I also cocked up a few bits of plumbing but nothing the installer couldn't remedy

Hi, I did a DIY job on our bathroom which included replacing a section of damp floorboard, removing old black, cracked tiles and replacing with Quickstep Ultra Hydro and retiling and edging the corner bath unit. I also put down waterproof beading around the perimeter and quadrant pvc beading in the shower to prevent future leaks, I also removed and refitted the shower enclosure, tray and toilet (reused existing which were in good condition). The pic here does not show all the floor or the shower/toilet, but it gives a bit of an idea - I haven’t touched the wall tiles (yet....)

It cost around £500 but I had to do a bit of research to get the right adhesive/grout/floorboards etc etc. I am a 43 year old accountant so I was quite proud of it although I’m sure a bathrooom designer would be amazing (a bit out of our price range....). So my pic is promoting the ‘novice DIY with minimal budget but a few ideas’ approach Grin, be kind (but proves anybody can have a go) !!
