Where to look in Guildford - Tormead

We are moving from London with DC due to start at Tormead. Our budget is about £600k, where should/ shouldn't we be looking? We are happy to do half an hour walk or so or drive or use the train. Any advice appreciated!

Lots of choices around Guildford but the town tends to get very busy at peak times. Given the location of the school I'd keep to the East and places like Clandon and south such as Shalford and Chilworth. Easy drive to the school and some very nice areas.
