Karndean flooring and dogs

Hi, just had a new floor layer, chose karndean based on hard wearing and looks.. I have a dog and wondered if any here has this floor and what do you do about the water bowl? Do you have mat or just put it straight on the floor? Asking because on my old floor the mess managed to lift the tiles!

Bone shaped rubber mat from Pets at Home, his water and food bowls sit perfectly on it.

We've had Karndean for 12 years, and nothing our dogs have done have damaged the floor. Their water bowl is on a raised stand though, so it gets water splattered around it all the time, but isn't soggy
