How long after valuation will bank get back

We are with NatWest and the valuation is booked for Friday. The valuers will visit the property. How soon after will we know what the valuer report says? How will we find out? Do we find out through our broker?

We just want to get on with things and nothing can move forward until this valuation is out of the way.

We had ours on Friday morning and nothing yet! Anxiously pacing the floor.

Matt83 when you say it was fine, do you mean the valued it at the price you agreed with the vendor?

I could be completely wrong, but am I right in thinking you dont get a copy of the valuation survey? I was under the impression that was only for the bank's purposes

@Mumofwho yeah they agreed with the price we sorted with the seller. I was worried about it getting devalued.

We had ours valued a few weeks ago. Just had our mortgage offer last week but the bank didn't tell us the outcome of the valuation (Nationwide)

I have heard nothing back about the in-person valuation that took place on Friday morning. I’m not great at waiting for things. Why are they taking so long!!

Friday was only 1.5 working days ago.. I think its reasonable to expect a week minimum at the mo. We are 6 days post valuation. I’ll chase tomorrow when it’s been a week. I work in customer support for a publishing company. Essentially, you query or in this case mortgage reaches the top of someone’s to do list. They send someone out to do the survey/in my job we’ll go back with questions about the proposed publication etc & back to the bottom of my pile you. Once there’s a response/the valuation has been done, it’ll ping on someone’s case file but you just ignore it until the work at the top of your pile is seen too. It’s nothing personal. It’s just a queue and you have to wait patiently for your turn. Particularly in busy periods. A phone chase would def encourage me to see to a customers response more quickly. Hence why it’s always worth a call to chase after say 5-7 days.

👏🏼👏🏼

Our bank is querying our childcare costs.. we got free funding in September, so now pay very little. But the 3 months wage slips have our previous payment amounts on them. I’m really annoyed as I provided all the evidence of free funding, nursery confirmation & an invoice to our broker. But they appear to have not passed this on 🙄

Sounds like it should be okay Moiras. I’m wishing you the best. I know you will feel relieved.

@Mumofwho who is your mortgage with? That was a really quick turnaround from valuation to offer

NatWest used Legal General. It was an in-person valuation and they valued it at what we agreed with the seller.
