Simply that, what’s the best way to get it off?

Yes, replace it. Unless you're really, really bored and have a loads and loads of time on your hands.

Masonry paint is not usually gloss. What paint was it?

Bubnomore · 30/09/2020 22:09

Bedec multisurface paint

Ah, I don't know about that.

Some water-based paints can be softened by soaking in a mixture of meths and WUL, painted on thickly with a brush and wrapped over with clingfilm to prevent it evaporating for an hour or more. Try that. If it works, the paint will come off with a thumbnail, plastic spatula, or stiff nylon brush.

neat meths will do, but evaporates off so fast it is no use except for small parts you can immerse.

Can you hide it with black paint?

Sorted using meth. Thanks!
