Bloor homes - buying off plan?

We’ve never bought off plan before.

Just seen a nice development and they do part exchange too.

How does the process work - how long can the process take? I think they’re about 3 months into the build of the site of 120+ houses.

I want us to be exchanged on a house ASAP as my son starts school in Sept 2021. Deadline for school applications is 15 Jan but I doubt I’d be able to make that with a conventional sale.

Any help or ideas welcome! Thanks

When you buy off plan you usually have to exchange within 28 days, bloody stressful when you have a sale but would be possible part exchange. We have just bought off plan and it took us 3 months to exchange, they were NOT happy and nearly pulled out 3 days before.

If you go for part exchange check the detail. We were tempted to part exchange and buy from a different developer. They said that if anyone came in to buy who wasn't part exchanging at any point, they would have priority if they chose "our" plot.
