Furlough and lenders

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a mortgage advisor local to Leicestershire that has had success securing a lender when one has been previously furloughed?

Any other recommendations or personal success stories welcome!

Thank you Smile

I believe a number of high street lenders are still lending to people on furlough providing they can provide a letter from their employer which gives a date for returning to work less than three months into the future and assurance this will be on your previous full salary. London and Country are a good all of market broker. They operate nationally, you don’t need to be in London.

All lenders have tightened up on furloughed workers where there’s no planned return to work - and honestly, I can’t believe anybody would think it a good idea to take out a mortgage in the first place without a guarantee of having a job to go back to and an income.
