Went on the market last week.

We have had zero viewings.

There are a couple of issues with our rightmove listing in that when the must have filter is clicked on for garden. Our property does not show.
Also, the estate agents terms are they market our property on two other websites and it is not.

I emailed them on Tuesday and those issues are still not sorted and I have had no communication from them at all apart from the initial oh yes we will look into it, is admin staff cant do it, it needs to be done by the estate agents.

What should I expect?
Time to drop the price yet? Change agents?

I didn't have viewings for ages despite our house being immaculate. It turned out that the estate agent was just "waiting". I would engage another estate agent if I were you, maybe spruce it up a bit and see what the realistic price is for it

Itshissister · 21/08/2020 13:03

What do you mean by 'waiting?'

In my experience estate agents don't respond to emails. Ring them up.

Call the agent and tell them if you’re going to look at the listing at 9am on Monday, and if it’s not significantly improved then you will engage another agent. That’s not good enough.

Itshissister · 21/08/2020 15:11

@bluejelly that is how we have done all of our correspondence!!!

@Saz12 still no reply!!

I am composing a firm email in my head ready to send.

All I am asking for is what they have said they will provide! It fills me with zero confidence for the rest of the process to be honest!!

Is it an online agent? If you signed less than 14 days ago just say you are withdrawing in your cooling off period, otherwise changing agents annoyingly may not be so straightforward

Itshissister · 21/08/2020 15:47

Strangely, I cant see anything to say we are tied in!

We recently sacked our first agent and managed to negotiate out of the contract period as they really were crap and cost us a buyer by there incompetence.

The market here has turned quieter the past week, our new agent said it had on all the properties they have not just ours and looking at what is coming on, and how long it is taking to sell they are right. I think holidays and the heat wave have all taken their toll.

Itshissister · 21/08/2020 17:17

We have had zero communication in regards to how the market has been from them.

It is as though since we have gone on the market they have forgotten about us!
