Is it normal to get a bit nervous after having an offer accepted?

Finally sold my house. Found one I like- put offer in and it is accepted but now I’m sat wondering if it’s the right one as I want a forever home.

It’s a compromise as house is smaller than I wanted but it has the land, character and location.

I’m hoping these concerns are normal and will pass!

That's normal ime. You chose to put an offer on it for a reason so worth remembering that. Good luck!

Yes, absolutely. I went from loving the house we offered on to hating it and being terrified that I’d made a huge mistake.

It wasn’t a mistake, the house is absolutely perfect, but I had a major wobble at the time!

Oh thank goodness! I definitely loved it when I looked round, but just started to get the wobbles!

Absolutely yes! I'm not sure the feeling will go away completely until we've moved in and settled there a bit (it's only 5 minutes down the road from where we currently are!)

Offer accepted and now I’m a bag of nerves that moving is a mistake. It has everything we need, but has compromises.

I wondered this too. We ended up pulling out. I liked the house however we would have been making a few compromises. Given it wasn’t our forever home and with the current climate I think we made the best decision for us. I am relieved now.
If you are planning on staying in your house long term, I’m sure it’s just nerves as house moves are pretty big life events.

Yes! It's really stressful and you definitely get buyer's remorse at some stage in the process.

Felt exactly the same. Its a big commitment. Think you wouldn't be normal if you didn't worry a bit!! Over time those fears started to disappate and now I am so excited lol.

Yes totally natural. I'm planning a big move next year, not totally convinced the kids are on board though it was initially because of my daughter wanting to move schools. She is getting the wobbles, and I have some doubts too, but feel it is the right thing to do overall.

I'm almost at the stage of signing my
contact and occasionally think that there might be something better ... but I know deep down it's perfect.

It depends on why you feel nervous. I got nervous about the neighbours and driving up a week after making the offer, the rubbish in the neighbours front garden was worse, so we backed out. I am really pleased we did as you can't fix
neighbours. But if you can't pinpoint something specific that's bothering you, then I wouldn't worry, it is just a big decision.
