Builder/handyman recommendations - North London

Hello!

Can anyone recommend a handyman/builder who is good with wallpaper removal, plastering and general home improvements? The place we are moving to is covered in woodchip wallpaper, which apparently is a nightmare to remove.

Location is Tufnell Park and we're looking for works to happen early Sept.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated :)

Don't get a builder to remove wallpaper and plaster because they'll likely charge builder's prices (read: hyperinflated)

Best bet is to join local Facebook groups and ask around on there.

CheckaTrade and TrustaTrader can be hit or miss, even with the guys that have top reviews x

A guy called Zol (from Zolco ) did my plastering in N London and did a good job.

For wallpaper removal I would probably just find someone on Task Rabbit or something.

When we took our woodchip off it took half the plaster with it so put something down to protect your floors if you're not changing them too!

Join Nextdoor or the Tufnell Park Parents group and ask for recommendations. The local Nextdoor is particularly good for that kind of info.
