Lakeland paints - anyone got thoughts?

So our contractor has highly recommended these guys for paint:
www.lakelandpaints.co.uk/

Very eco and all that. They also looked from their colour chart to have a couple of very nice options - but then we ordered the samples and painted them up and there's no comparison - In real life the colours look really washed out. I'm gutted and wonder if we just got a bad batch or what?

We've had colour charts through from Little Greene and F&B and for the specific colour I'm after - a rich emerald green!! haha - they've not got that many good choices.

Anyone used Lakeland and have feedback? Anyone got any other alternatives I should be trying?

Thanks as always

@LAKELANDpaints it's fine to come on here and offer your opinion but the WAY you've spoken on this thread is dire. Completely unprofessional. I'm an independent bystander with no prior knowledge of the brand or product and your way of interacting with people has not given me a good impression.

I can't see you taking that on board though so I'll leave it there.

Ian, I don't think you have quite grasped Mumsnet as a forum.

Svalberg · 18/06/2021 18:54

Hope MNHQ leave all of these posts up!

I can only echo everything that @PragmaticWench said and also suggest you act like this thread doesn't exist and leave it alone. As it is, by replying, you're just bringing it to the attention of yet more people.

People posting here are perfectly permitted to not recommend your product or recommend an alternative and your replies are not placing you in a good light.

Dear Robert - we are very sorry that you did not like our products -
though as far as we know, there is no way for us to "massage" or influenza the posts for Mumsnet, Trustpilot or anyone else, but if you know different, then please let us know.
many thanks ian west. manager

Lakelandpaint · 20/03/2022 13:09

Dear Pragmatic - I'm sorry but I genuinely dont know what it is that you find offensive or are complaining about in our comments?
if you can let us know then maybe we do need to amend them.
many thanks ian west. manager

Dear Pragmatic
I do agree that some people thought that my use of capitals was rude or offensive - like shouting - but seriously - I had never heard of this before and it was only to differentiate the important bits of text - and I apologise if my replies seemed that way.
thanks IW. manager

Lakelandpaint · 20/03/2022 13:20

Dear Altforvarmt - I agree entirely with what you say that anyone is free to recommend any product and I dont think that I had suggested otherwise - but I do apologise if my reply seemed that way - unfortunately I am replying to a number of posts here all at once as I just realised that MNHQ had deleted my replies because of some unknown infringement on my part - sorry.
thanks. ian west. manager

Lakelandpaint · 20/03/2022 13:26

Dear Spongebob
I am replying again to a stack of posts because I did not know that MNHQ had deleted my replies. We originated in Kendal, Cumbria as Lakeland paints - and all our customers know us as Lakeland, so we did not want to change the name when we moved down to Heysham.
thanks ian west. manager

Dear Robert - we are very sorry indeed that you didn't like our paint - we have around 97% on feedback forums who think its great. Just a quick question - if the paint was as bad as you say, then why did you want to order more? As you must know, we have no way of influencing the feedback forums. iantec
