Lighting and mirrors for make up in bathroom

Putting in new bathroom, any suggestions for a mirror and lighting combo so 8 can see to put on make up in?

Current arrangement appears to be a temperamental mouse holding up a match. It’s not the best.

My advice is not to do make up in the bathroom. Different if you're the only person using said bathroom, but I'd rather sit and do mine in the bedroom in good natural light (most of the year) without worrying I'm hogging the bathroom and without a steamy atmosphere from showers, etc.

The mirrors with LED lights around them and a heat pad in the middle - like you find in hotels - are good. A shaving mirror with a magnifying side which you can pull out from the wall is also good. If you have downlights they need to be positioned so there isn't one just behind anyone standing at the sink/mirror or you'll be in shadow from the off.

Hmmm good advice. But the light in the bedroom is equally crap. North facing house. Light in the kitchen is fab though.

So I need to think about better lighting in the bedroom!

It's an extraordinarily pretty house but all the windows in it are north facing.

I got daylight bulbs in the bathroom. They're super bright and I can finally see my face. Previously, we had warm white bulbs and it just made things look blurry.

I do my make-up in the bedroom as dh needs the bathroom after me. The only place to put a dressing table didn't have very good light so I wall mounted one of those bathroom mirrors with built-in lights at the side above my dressing table. Works great.
