I need to undo these pipes under the sink

In the ongoing saga of unblocking the sink....

I’ve now used a gadget to put down the plug hole and the top of the gadget has come off so the pipe work is going to have to be undone and investigated.

Picture attached. Any help in knowing exactly what and how to undo please?

TIA

It looks as though A and B should unscrew allowing removal of the trap.

Thank you so much for your reply.
That’s what I’ve done but when I then pull down look what’s inside.
So I can’t pull it down and away.

You need @pigletjohn to help you here.

I would think twice about doing it yourself. I dismantled some pipes under the kitchen sink to clear a blockage and when I put them back it kept leaking.

I’ve started now so I’ll have to finish Hmm

I think you have to undo C.

The white plastic cup might possibly pull down so you can rotate the trap. When it is rotated, I think it will pull off A.

Looks a bit like an adjustable/telescopic trap I think. Undoing B allows the trap to made longer/shorter.

Tighten up B, undo A and C. The pull it down from C and then away from A would be my method, but a bit of wiggling ought to loosen it off.

Thank you
Should B and C undo in the same direction?

and keep a note of where the seals are and which way they fit...I recently had cause to redo the undersink drains ..icky yicky smell in the kitchen and a small leak which i thought was coming from the new tap tails (? is that the real name?)

Turns out the small sink drain was dislodged a bit ...reckon it got nudged when the taps were changed.

...it's not leaking any more!!

might be like

I have good news and bad news.

The bad news is I couldn’t actually get the pipes off.
The good news is that I must have dislodged whatever was causing the blockage in my attempts as the water is now running away perfectly,
And I’ve no leaks.

So thank you all for your help. Smile
