Hi there!
I moved from UK for a few months and I am planning to move with my aunt to another apartment.

We would like to know about the Hazel Grove area. Is it a good place to live? Is it dangerous in any way? How is the traffic there?

We dont have kids, but i know this is a good place to talk to people.

Thank you Grin

You only have to join the Levy Massiv Facebook group or take a drive around it to see how awful it is. They have huge problems with fly tipping for a start. Crime is rife. You couldn't walk in the evening safely. Even in the day time it's dangerous. There's a few hipster types that have moved in and are trying their best but it's skanky

The first time I ever went to Levvy, at the age of 16, was to 'score' some weed with a boyfriend then on to a student party. He got threatened in the pub toilets by the weed dealer and I was suddenly both scared and thrilled!

@giganticshark

I wouldn't walk anywhere in Manchester at night and feel 100% safe.

I grew up in Poynton and still go back a lot. Hazel Grove is ok, the best thing being the transport links to get to Manchester. It doesn't have a lot of charm and as others say, nearby towns are nicer. It can be dirty and the main road is always rammed.

I find Poynton bland and not well connected but I think that's just growing up there!

Stockport is absolutely not a shit hole. Its a big area that has some shit holes, but also some really affluent areas. 600-700 budget and 2 bed appartment? Do you mean 600-700k to buy? Or £600-700 per month rent?
Hazel grove is fine and safe but access to anywhere is via the A6 which is awful at rush hour.
Levenshulme is an absolute shit hole, has never been up and coming and in my opinion never will be.

It's fine. I like the Heatons too - Heaton mersey in particular.

Buy for 600k or rent for £600?

CloudsCanLookLikeSheep · 23/06/2020 15:53

Buying for 600k you can pretty much pick what you want
