Stencilled my front path - pictures

I recently posted pics on here of our made over UPVC front door using paint.

I decided to keep going with improving our front of house and painted and stencilled our old concrete slabs / path.

I used masonry paint and this will be sealed using Polyvine Dead Flat varnish. Overall though I'm chuffed.

So clever! Looks lovely

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 17/06/2020 14:22

Love this.

Where did you buy the stensils?

Barkingfuckingdogs · 17/06/2020 14:24

Well I expected to hate it but actually, I think it looks pretty nifty!

RatherBeRiding · 17/06/2020 14:24

Wow that's really good! Also wondering where you got the stencils?

FabulouslyFab · 17/06/2020 14:25

Wow!!!

cleanasawhistle · 17/06/2020 14:26

Well done @missfliss , that looks lovely

user1972548274 · 17/06/2020 14:31

Does the paint you used make any promises about how long it should last? Or How well it should cope with being walked over?

It does look nice.

missfliss · 17/06/2020 14:32

Stencils were from a company called Dizzy Duck.

They have a Facebook page where you can see a lot of people posting their real projects and it's very handy for advice

Love it! (Good cat also). I wonder if this would work on my unappealing sheet concrete patio.

Henio · 17/06/2020 14:42

Love this! Looks gorgeous

rachelfrost · 17/06/2020 14:44

This is great. I thought it was going to be 2m distance markings for people visiting!

WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat · 17/06/2020 15:00

I've never seen that done before. It's very good.
(I do hope it was dry when the cat lay down!)

Ilovefluffysheep · 17/06/2020 15:47

I've just joined the Frenchic paint forum on Facebook and loads of people are doing it on there.

Looks really good.

Coconutmeg · 17/06/2020 15:49

Really lovely

custardbear · 17/06/2020 15:52

Wow that's amazing! I've seen somebody paint their tarmac driveway so inspired me to look into this .... well, get my husband to do it anyway lol 😆

missfliss · 17/06/2020 16:46

Someone asked about paint. I used masonry paint - there's a lot on the market and I think Dulux Weathershield is well rated. I used Sandtex which is also well regarded as long lasting and durable.

Thecazelets · 17/06/2020 18:02

Looks great!

BitOfFun · 17/06/2020 18:25

I wish I could be so productive during lockdown!

sbplanet · 17/06/2020 20:42

Cool! Vaguely reminiscent of Victorian encaustic tiled hallways.

theemmadilemma · 17/06/2020 20:46

I thought I'd hate this but it's great, it looks like old tiled front paths.

sbplanet · 17/06/2020 20:50

Yeah, that's what I meant to say @theemmadilemma! :D

AhBallix · 17/06/2020 21:22

That looks fantastic. It must have taken a fair bit of time and patience.

Zhampagne · 17/06/2020 21:24

That looks great, OP! @mylondonhome on Instagram did something similar, painting and stencilling a patio. There’s a guide in her story highlights.

MrsEricBana · 17/06/2020 21:28

I didn't think I'd like it either - but I do! Well done!
