Would love opinions from anyone local to the area

Fordingbridge is lovely but it's definitely not in Salisbury.

Don't know Alderholt, but on the map it seems to be even further from Salisbury.

@Ellmau thanks, yeah, sorry. It's more that Salisbury is the nearest main place and where I will be working. I've heard good things about Fordingbridge

I don't live there myself, but from what I know (DB used to live in the area) the traffic can be quite bad. Lovely place though.

You might like to look at Downton, which is a bit closer to Salisbury and a really nice community without all the tourists.

I live near Bournemouth in Dorset - neither of these places are near Salisbury.
My friend lives in Alderholt and used to live in Fordingbridge!!!
Fordingbridge has more about it that Alderholt.
I prefer the first property - the other seems older and a bit odd.

I would not buy either as ceiling heights seem low and oppressive despite being nicely decorated homes and beautiful garden.
