Hi !

Are there any home insurance providers where I don't have to know the type of lock on my front door and what the walls are made of ?

I also don't want to count every book I own 🤣 what are the best options?

Choose an overall amount you want your contents covered for, or let them suggest am amount based on the size of your house. That's all I've ever done. Use a comparison site.
If your house is of standard construction and your doors are double glazed, then tick standard construction and multi point locks.

It's really not hard. Unless your house is weird or stuffed with unusual and valuable artefacts.
