what dimensions are too small to be a dining room?

is 12ft x 8.1ft too narrow to be a dining room?

im looking at a house that has a room this size and i can only think it could be a dining room... current vendor uses it to store junk :/

That could work if you have a very narrow trestle-style dining table.
