Can I get a new house with a medium-large sized garden?

I want a brand new house but the problem is the gardens seem to always be so small. It's frustrating because I love gardening so I want a decent sized garden. Not massive just a sensible size, but they are so tiny!

Is there a way around this?

Thank you.

Yes, spend more money, plenty of new builds have large gardens. You just need to spend enough to get them.

Developers and planners want to squeeze as many houses per acre as they can. You could go the self build route but its really hard to find a plot in most areas.

Going for a smaller, select development out of city, as well as having a healthy deposit will get you a medium sized garden. We’re looking and have been to many developments with really nice sized gardens.
With new builds, the smaller the house and the larger the development = the smaller the garden.
Research developers too.

Deposit? I meant budget!

As Cuppa said, look for a smaller, independent builder - there's one here in the SW that tends to build houses with larger gardens than most new builds get.
