Advice please.. where to position a woodburner?

My husband and I are at the design stage of a major property renovation. We are almost there in terms of finalising the floor plans etc, but cannot agree on where to position the woodburner in the siting room. My preference is the first image attached. This has the woodburner in the centre of the wall, so it is visible from the kitchen/dining area when the pocket doors separating the dining area and sitting room are open. I would then have the TV to the right of the woodburner, or in the top left corner of the room. My husband's preference is to have the woodburner in the corner of the room and to have the TV where the woodburner is situated on the plan, with a built in wall unit around it (something similar to the second image). My worry is that this way, the TV becomes the focus of the room. I love the thought of being able to see it when sat around the dining table at Christmas, for example. I'd really appreciate and value thoughts and also advice on where to position furniture. Thanks so much!

Rather depends on how the room is laid out. Will you often want to have the fire as the focus of attention or mainly the TV? For most it's the TV so a corner position makes sense...

You could open the bit between dining area and lounge more to get a better viewing angle on the burner in the top left of the room (looking at the plan). We opened up a wall and placed pocket doors in so no room space lost and we can open up or close of rooms easily.
