Are housing developers shut down at the moment? Are some building, some not? Anyone know?

Some are definitely working, I walked last an active house building site today but work has stopped on a large commercial development near here.

Small building outfits are carrying where possible, larger scale developments are shut down. Main issue for those still working is the supply chain - stuff is running out as manufacturers and suppliers stop work.

Housing estate near me has totally stopped

Thank you, I suspected that would be the case.

One directly opposite my house is still in full swing.

two long-standing planning battles in my village finally resulted in giant houses squeezed on to tiny plots, putting further strain on the infrastructure. They've both got as far as big holes, fences and portaloos and then stopped.

I saw on my local Facebook group that 200 houses have been put forward to the council in the next small town along from me on green land which has planning in principle, I think they tried to do it a few years ago but the council said no but now they have lodged plans again, the school hasn’t got the capacity neither has the gps and I was incredibly surprised to see this happening at the moment considering the economy is in downturn and people are losing their jobs all over the place so highly doubt their will be jobs round here for people never mind people having the money to buy after this
