Buyers - is Coronavirus affecting your search?

We'd like to move, and have been preparing the house to list this month, but it isn't urgent. We could put it on the market now, or we could wait and see how things develop. Coronavirus isn't affecting my life at the moment, but I'm aware that some people are restricting their non-essential activity. Our house is a bit of a niche property, so might be slow to sell and I'm worried a slow down in the market would make it look undesirable.
Would it stop you viewing? Would concern about the possible economic impacts affect your willingness to offer, or how much you would pay?

Personally no, but I’ve seen people worried about what happens to the chain if someone somewhere needs to self isolate at completion therefore can’t really move. Also I think possibly it needs to be now or in 6 months as having crappy sick pay on your mortgage application is going to be a sticking point for a lot of people.

We are mid purchase and I’m hoping to be done well before it’s an issue, but I do think the impact on progress and mortgage offers may hit in summer.

Really? Wouldn't even cross my mind!
