Upcycling Schreiber Wardrobe

Hi.
We've recently moved into a new house with a fitted wardrobe. It's in great condition so would seem a shame to rip it out. However it has quite a shiny finish, so not sure how to go about making it look more modern. Does anyone have any useful tips or tricks? Thanks!

If you want a matt finish try having a look a chalk paint. Loads of colors to choose from

Make sure you wax it after for a more durable finish. It will need rewaxed every year or so
