Teal coloured wall with light grey kitchen units? Paint HELP please!

Please settle a debate with my husband, does this 'go'?

Only the walk with the window and hob, sink, dishwasher on will be teal, others will be white!

If it is a dire idea, any other suggestions please?

Final question, can anyone recommend a subtle but not dirty white paint please?! We've got a sample pot of light and space absolutely white from Dulux but it's very bright to the point of being too white!

I think it does! I guess it does depend on your work tops though... I agree one wall as the whole room would be a bit much!

White marble effect work tops!

Phew at least one person doesn't think I'm crazy!

Sounds lovely. The white will be really fresh.

Sounds good! On the white front, Dulux timeless is pretty versatile. We have it on woodwork with teal walls.

Wimborne White is fairly subtle from F&B. Dark green is The kitchen colour right now. Rather than teal, what about dark green?

Sounds lovely!

Ooh I’m doing teal blue in my lounge with orange and copper! Sounds nasty but I saw it in a magazine and I loved it

Monty27 · 06/02/2020 01:55

Sounds good to me Smile

Sounds good to me as well.

Depends on the shades though too - some grey and teals can have really in complementary hues.

Thanks so much everyone. Glad I'm not going mad.

I'm going to check out Dulux Timeless. Was trying to not go F&B for the white in interests of cost but will have a browse of that too!

We went to pick wood floor today. Not sure we got anywhere as they all look too dark, too yellow, not quite right... Smile

I have zero artistic flare or imagination if you haven't figured that out yet!

Neptune now do lovely floors. Not cheap but you will get ideas regarding what would suit.

Sounds lovely. Be sure to try the paint on all walls as it can really differ. A paint that looks stark white on a shaded wall can appear more cream on a sunny wall. I like Dulux white cotton.

If you have a Brewers near you they will mix you (in Johnson's) any of the F & B or Dulux colours. My painter swears by them.
