No hot water dishwasher & washing machine

I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that when I open my dishwasher the water is stone cold & dishes aren't washed properly! Then when I thought about it I also realised that last lot of washes I have taken straight out of washing machine at end of cycle the clothes are stone cold, even after doing a 90 degree bed clothes wash. Is there any reason why both would be doing this??

They will both be cold water fill and should heat the water themselves. Would the final rinse in a washing machine not be a cold one rather than a hot one?

Thanks for your reply 😀. It's just that I noticed that both recently changed, every time i would have opened dishwasher at end of cycle there would have been steam and dishes felt warm, now on opening it's completely cold abc dishes are not cleaned properly. Then put 2 & 2 together and thought flip clothes would have came out like warm at end of cycle but now they are not 🤷🏼‍♀️

It sounds like the heating element in your dishwasher is broken.

Your washing machine is probably fine, the clothes shouldn't be warm when you take them out.
