swapping built in fridge for freestanding dishwasher

Moving house, there's a built in under the counter fridge next to the sink.

How hard would it be to take that out to replace with a freestanding dishwasher?

You'll need plumbing for it.

Next to sink so easy plumbing, just need cold water teed off the feed to the tap, and waste into the sink drain. You already have power and the space

Easy - I took out drawers next to my sink myself and put in a dishwasher - got a plumber in to create connections - was around £100 all in - was a bit of a stretch to drain and water (round a corner) so had to have extra long water and drain pipes but no issues

Freestanding dishwashers are generally 600mm wide, and deeper than other appliances. Very often they stick out a bit if there is a pipe or even a plug on the wall behind them.

Built-in appliances are often 550mm wide so they can fit inside a 600mm unit. You need to measure accurately.
