Move to cardiff area maybe Llantwit Major

My husband has got a job in cardiff so we will be moving from Hampshire to somewhere else. I sea swim a bit so like to be by the sea, train station, good schools, pub, shops and some sporty things to get involved in. So far Llantwit Major appears to have all this. Does anyone have opinions on the area or think other areas are worth looking at. Thanks, such a big decision to make.

Llantwit Major is beautiful, quite expensive so you’ll need a good budget (though assume that isn’t an issue from Hampshire).

Bit of a commute into Cardiff though.

Penarth is coastal and has good schools and reasonable commute to Central Cardiff.

I have one child age 8 and foster. I have no long term children placed with me, so be moving with just my son. Husband not seem to mind long train journey and doesn't like idea of being in city.

Not really know budget till house is valued next weekend.
