I've got two jobs that need doing and I'm not sure what sort of builder (?) I need.
We have steps up into our (Victorian) house, which are brick with cement(?) on top. On one of the steps a biggish chunk of the cement layer has cracked and fallen.
We also possibly need some exterior wall repointing - this is at the top of our townhouse (so quite high) but it's a small patch so it could possibly be done with a ladder (instead of scaffolding).
I think if I ask one of the local 'big' builders to look at it, we'll get a quote for £££. Is the step something a 'handyman' type person would do, or a driveway/patio person, or something else?
Any help gratefully received - I'm ok on DIY but less good at navigating other work!
