Is B&Q fobbing me off?

I bought a Cooke And Lewis kitchen about 3 years ago and I need a few replacement doors. When I went to get a replacement , B&Q told me they are replacing the entire range and they don't have the replacement doors and are discontinuing it.

Is thus legal? As far as I understand, kitchen companies should offer replacement items for at least the warranty period, which us at least 10 years. The damage was caused by a tradesman, but could easily have been manufacturing issue.

What are my rights? I have queried this with IKEA in the past and they said they stock items for 25 years, even if they have new ranges.

Is B&Q fobbing me off? Can I go to trading standards or court on this?

Thanks.

Unless it was written in the original contract then you don't have much of a leg to stand on. I doubt there could be any statutory duty on fitted furniture suppliers to sell replacement items in future, that's just part of their customer service decision.

They have to provide a remedy for an inherent fault for up to six years (emphasis on 'up to', the timing depends on the individual case), or longer if their own warranty offers it.

They don't have to provide replacement items for other reasons at all, beyond your original contract.

Have you looked on eBay? I've seen kitchen doors sold on there, and whole kitchens!

No they don't have to carry replacements for accidental damage. Can you claim on your household insurance, or is the tradesman that damaged liabile?

Cooke n lewis is shite and damage really easily, handles are crap, hinges are terrible (I hate my 5 yr old cooke n lewis kitchen, biggest waste of money ever)
