Is gloss paint supposed to be watery?

Using Valspar gloss earlier and it was very watery, despite being given a really good stir. The finish is terrible. Did I do anything wrong? I thought gloss was fairly thick.

Sounds odd? How long have you had it?

I bought it last week. It's been stored in a cool room.

Yeah that doesn’t sound right at all.

I didn't think you where suppost to stir gloss paint? Just checked the Dulux gloss i have and it says don't stir on the tin.

Hmm it didn't look right when I took the lid off. I'll pop in to b&q and ask them.

Don’t use gloss paint for anything!!! Use an exterior eggshell with a sheen. Easy to use and a much better finish!
