Methinks the latter.
Solicitor went on hols last Wednesday her colleague was/is supposedly acting on our behalf now. Dh phoned him a lunchtime to find out what was happening. He only got round to our file on Saturday (yes, poor man works on a Saturday) and sees no reason why we can't exchange today and will phone dh back.
We are buying a new building so its not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but it would be nice to know the house is definately ours.
Place your bets on exchange happening today...... (or not)
