Where do you look for reputable builders/ plumbers/ electrician??

We've just bought our first house in Twickenham, London and need some work done. As we've never had to deal with refurbishments, I find it difficult to decide who to use? I know rated people, check a trade and my builder, but are there any other websites I should consider for looking for reliable tradesmen?
Does any of you know somebody who works to a good standard? We're new to the area too, so don't really want to ask the neighbours.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Used previously My Builder with mostly good results. Now it's mainly from the local social media groups.

Be cheeky & knock on the neighbours doors down your street & ask for local recommendations. Also, I recommend joining your local 'Nextdoor' online group - you'll get loads of info that way too.
