Bathroom counter top sink, oval or round

Could I ask if any of you have a counter top sink in your bathroom, what shape did you decide on, and why?

I have to choose and I am not sure whether I like the oval or the round best.

So I am looking for pros and cons really.

The only downside I can think of is that there is not edge on the basin to put the soap holder etc, but that isn't too much of an issue as there is be the unit top that it is installed on.

Oval sounds like it might be bigger so I'd prefer that or I'd end up splashing everywhere. If you use bars of soap, you could have a wall mounted holder.

If the oval is too flat at the bottom I'd say beware- it'd need cleaning everyday! Spit etc just sits there. We have two ovals, one is more flat, the other is fine
