What type of gas fire do I need.

Gas fire looks quite dated. It's one that stands out from the wall on a small hearth. Am I right in thinking it's an 'outset' type? Can it be replaced by an inset one?

your cats are georgous dont get the one with the glass in front we had one and it threw more heat up the chimney than it did into the room, our last house had the one with the coal effect blocks with flame that showed on it and it was lovely got really hot on full and just nicely warmed the room up on low

forgot to say will need to be in the chimney recess though so fumes can go up the chimney cant be sat where yours is
