Sanding wood...concerned about lead

Hi everyone, hoping for some advice here.

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and getting on with some small DIY jobs round the house. We plan to sand and re-stain the door thresholds as I'm not keen on the dark (stained) wood. Yesterday I tried out a patch with the electric sander for a couple of minutes before I had a panic - is this wood stain likely to contain lead? Our house was built in 1972. I've got myself in a tizz and I'm worried I've hurt the baby somehow. Picture of said thresholds attached. Advice much appreciated!

Get a proper mask! You can't be sanding that sort of thing without...pregnant or not!

@HennyPennyHorror yes I've left it to DH now and he's got a mask. What do you think about the likelihood of lead?

unlikely in varnish or woodstain.

Unlikely there's lead. It's not an old house. But wouldn't it be easier to replace the thresholds? They aren't expensive.
