What lifestyle are you looking for. Why Liskeard in particular

It's probably no better or worse than many small Cornish towns with affordable housing. It has drug and low level anti social behaviour issues, but OK local amenities and better transport links than towns further into Cornwall (e.g. Bodmin/Wadebridge), but I still wouldn't live there without a car. Unfortunately Cornwall is not all Rick Stein and Doc Martinesque delightful little cottages by the sea with pints of real ale and pasties after a long day of crabbing, rock pooling and squealing delightfully as the waves chase us up the beach, whatever the media would have you believe.

I was browsing on rightmove today, as you do, for properties within 10 miles of looe which I love (cute seaside town with a lovely Sandy beach) and loads of liskeard houses came up. Liskeard is really affordable, has a little town centre with a few shops bank etc and there is a Morrisons, b and m, argos etc all lumped together in liskeard too. I have no idea where you are from or what you are after but I'm sure there are worse places to live and wouldn't rule it out.
