I hope this is the right place to post this and someone has experience they will share . My DD is looking at buying a flat, it's a lovely property but has no gas supply and the current owners have installed an electric wet heating system - make and model above, installed 2 years ago. Now my experience of electric heating is old storage radiators which I hated but this looks a lot better. Anyone got any experience of running costs? Its a 2 bed flat and would be occupied by my DD and her DP

We have have electric heating central heating in a 1 bed flat that I used to live it. It does have gas and had gas central heating but new rules about flues meant be would have to site any new boiler either in the bedroom or living room to have access to an outside wall so we went with a Heatre Stradivarius electric boiler. It work the same way as was the gas boiler did and and the controls are the same.
It does cost a little more to run. It’s hard to quantify may be an extra £100 a year? ( but it was £1500 less to have fitted than a gas boiler ).
