Little Greene: French Grey or French Grey Dark?

I appreciate this is a VERY specific question, but has anyone used either of these colours and wouldn't mind sharing their finished result?

I am trying to decide between them for our hallway, and the samples don't go very far towards helping me visualise what we'd end up with!!

French Grey is beautiful, I have it in my house, the dark version is a little too dark unless you have lots of natural light.

I’ve got it too. It’s a very nice sort of grey that isn’t that grey at all. I think it’s quite a good background colour without being off white.

Oh, difficult to comment on whether to go with th regular or dark as it depends on light and the whole scheme.

I’ve used french grey floor paint, I’m delighted with it, it’s a beautiful colour, calming restful and just a true neutral grey, without being too ‘grey’ sorry I hope that makes sense. The dark version was too dark.

@TweenageAngst - Thank you, that's really helpful. Our hallway is quite dark.

@JoJoSM2 - Everything else will be quite a bright white, which I hope means the colour will stand out as being a 'colour' rather than an off white.

@MrsApplepants - I'm glad you're happy with it. On the floor, it sounds amazing!! Your description absolutely makes sense. I've been driving myself trying to commit to a colour (have tried about 20 greys across LG and Mylands) but I feel this might be safe and elegant?!?!

I wish they had an inbetween!

I've taken a photo. That's the regular French Grey. The door and skirting board are antique white (B&Q's own range) and the floor is lightly limed oak. I included a bit of a picture as it's a good background colour for brighter stuff too.

If you want sth in between, just mix the regular and the dark versions.
