ARE THEY OR US MAAAAAAAAAAD. Were currentlygetting qoutes for replacing our windows as the lovely lovely original 30's wooden windows are rotten to the core .

Soooo we had Zenith here this evening after they came round canvasing lastnight for appts with a 2yr fixed qoute thingy,(pre warning them that we had no intention of buying yet), we had Anglian round several months ago and qoute wasnt to crazy, but tonight after 2 painful long hours and a book of Zenith history, window demo , measuring etc etc the qoute came in at....................................................

12 K fgs, I mean what is this a mansion ????????????????????????????????????????????.

What a laod of utter *&%$ nonsense, after showroom house discount it came down to 8.5k , but still it was ridic, the qoute was like 150% more than ANGLIAN , whats that all about and then she got all hostile and used the "spk to my manager on the phone" lark !!!!! Errrrt may be NOO at 10:15 in my own house doing hard sell , I think Effin NOT.

I just want some plain secure nice looking windows, not gold filled, super kryptonian impregnated, uber plutonium glass strengthed
ones !!!

Were does everyone go for that ????

Do your own shopping.....never buy from someone who has so much business that they have to knock on doorsteps.

Do you have a reputable 'local' supplier.
My parents used their big local fitters to do it. We did the same (different company in different area). Its the only way to go. Much better service than the nationals.

ask a reputable builder who they use for windows,you'll get a better deal,can't remember how much ours were but will ask dh.

Oh wish I had known. We had them out a few years back and they were here till 11pm, 3 hours, wouldnt leave. It was terrible. Quote was high and did the whole, "i'll ring my boss, this discount is only for tonight"

I ended up signing to get rid of them and then called next day to cancel as i knew i had 21 days cooling off, thank god!!!

We used crystal windows for our windows and doors and hired a builder to fit them. They were very good, well priced and no hard sale

yes - I know someone who had Zenith windows in for hours.....

Thank you lisa & others , now have to meditate for the next hour and re cleanse my body !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (half joking there ).

If they are a big national why DO they do the knock on door thing ??? Surely good tastefulish adveristing.

I wouldnt say I was naiive , but I totally didnt expcet the qoute to be like this based on the Anglian one , wihch was workable. She did this scary demo, using probably the worst crapppiest product to show how easy it is to break into and hows their's cant be broken into EVER AT ALL , so a part of you thinks wow ,may be I shud pay for this superior product, but not that much more!!!

Its a load of crap, their products are the same. I had angalian on my conservatory about 3 years ago now, had a few hicupps, but more about the builder that wasnt doing i right and swearing in my house, wouldnt turn up, would turn late, generally bad. I rang them and he got fired but had to collect his toys and was very abusive.
However, following day new builders, quick and no trouble. Also have 10 year warranty and any problems we have had they have been out within the week.
