painting clear silicone in bathroom?

so I needed to redo some of the silicone around the taps and behind the taps at the bath/sink. I needed new silicone. I bought silicone, and when I cut the top off it at home, realised it was clear not white. I am such a numpty, and I CARRIED ON. I just so desperately wanted to get the job done. So i did it, but really, it's not as nice as white, especially as the rest is white silicone.
A quick google tells me I can't paint it - SOB.

Anyone got any ideas on how I can actually paint it? Or do I need to cover it with white silicone?? I am so irritated with myself. I didn't want to go and spend another £8 on a new tube of it.

Thank you. x

If you want white I think you will need to take the clear silicone out and redo it all, sorry 🙈

Yes you need to cut it all out and the do it. You can’t silicone on top of silicone. It doesn’t stay

oh bananas. that's a pain.
can I perhaps just put white silicone over the top?
