We have a very horrible 1960's bathroom with a seperate toilet next to it.Both are grim & in need of a huge overhaul. My original thought was to knock them into one room & steal a bit off the landing to make room for a walk in shower.
However,dh has just pointed out to me,that he is living in a house with 3 females, two of which, will be teenagers in the future & whom will spend hours in the bathroom. He thinks the best way might be to keep them seperate,so he can use the loo without them complaining about dad making a stink ect.
Now I'm in a quandary. There isn't room for another toilet anywhere in the house. My neighbours have just had a small extension with a downstairs toliet & shower room fitted,so that MAY be a possibility some time in the future-if we can afford it.
So,in the meantime,do I,knock the rooms into one,or keep them seperate.Would it be really odd to keep the toilet seperate, but squeeze another one into the bathroom? We may be able to do that if I give up the idea of a walk in shower & just have one over the bath instead.Quite frankly, after living without a shower for over 2 years, anything is better than nothing.
Any advice/thoughts would be gratefully recieved. Thanks
