Cost of re-rendering a house

I have a typical 3 bed semi near Leeds. We're having a lot of work done to the house including installation of new windows and it will be necessary to re-render the external walls once the work is completed so they don't look like a patchwork quilt. The builder has quoted more than £9,300 (ex VAT) for the work which strikes me as rather excessive. I realise scaffolding will be required but, even so, this sounds like rather a lot. How much would one expect to pay for re-rendering a very modest 3 bedroom semi-detached house?

Is it just the facade or all three external walls? If the latter, it seems about right. We've had our house re-rendered over two years and spent £8k each year. (It's a biggish house, but not a stately home.)

We have been quoted between £4500 - £8000 to render our 2 bedroom bungalow so your price seems reasonable. Our quotes don't include scaffolding. They are quotes from render specialists rather than a builder though so thay might be why they are higher for a smaller job.
